At Great Expectations, we provide reliable information, guidance, and support for new and expectant parents in Garfield, Pitkin, and western Eagle counties. Our programs are free and available to all.

We also host parent support groups, which are free and open to all (refreshments and child care included!). Our facilitators will help you learn from other parents in a safe, supportive environment.
Rifle Library group– Great Expectations hosts a Circle of Parents group at the Rifle Library. Through a welcoming and supportive environment guided by trained facilitators but driven by parents and caregivers, Circle of Parents offers a space for individuals in parenting roles to openly engage in conversations about the triumphs and obstacles of raising children. It is a community where any caregiver can connect and empathize with one another, creating a supportive and understanding network.
Teen Group at Yampah Mountain High School– Great Expectations offers a teen group at Yampa Mountain High School where teens come together to discuss the challenges of parenting as a team, while also navigating their own individual journeys such as returning to school, maintaining friendships, and more. This group is primarily for teens that are enrolled in YMHS.
MotherWise supports women, children and their families during pregnancy and after a baby is born. The workshops focus on communicating, solving family problems, and proven information on caring for and connecting with a newborn.There is also one-on-one coaching to navigate work, life, family, and having a new baby.
