BILINGUAL PARENT SUPPORT FACILITATOR

Overview:

Great Expectations is adding MotherWise to our list of programs. MotherWise, focuses on helping mothers identify what healthy relationships look like to them, develop communication skills that they can use in all relationships, and learn new information on parenting and early childhood development

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Bilingual Parent Support Facilitator to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who have firsthand parenting experience and a passion for supporting other parents in their journeys. The successful candidate will coordinate and facilitate group sessions, provide case management, and conduct home visits to offer personalized support to families. The mission of Great Expectations is to strengthen and empower families, foster the optimum development of children, and prevent child abuse and neglect. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to make a positive impact on the community.  

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Facilitate and lead parenting support groups in both Spanish and English. 
  2. Conduct home visits to assess family needs, provide support, and develop individualized plans for parents.
  3. Provide case management services to families, including resource identification, goal setting, and progress monitoring. 
  4. Create a supportive and inclusive atmosphere where parents feel comfortable sharing their experiences and challenges.
  5. Collaborate with other team members to enhance program offerings.
  6. Maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of all group members.
  7. Participate in regular agency staff meetings and team meetings.
  8. Attend weekly individual reflective supervision sessions.
  9. Ensure family files and data are maintained and up to date.

Qualifications:

– High school diploma or equivalent

– Experience in facilitating/teaching groups, workshops, or community programs

– Strong communication and interpersonal skills

– Ability to work independently and as part of a team

– Experience providing trauma-informed case management to diverse populations

Preferred Skills:

– Knowledge of maternal health and mental health or child development

– Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Google Workspace

Salary and Benefits:

Salary dependent on experience and education. Competitive benefits package includes medical, dental, life and vision insurance, employee assistance program, short-term disability policy, retirement,  and a flexible work schedule. 

PAY: Salary $24.00 – $29.00 based on education and experience.
